About Cradle of filth:Cradle of Filth is a heavy metal band formed in Suffolk, England in 1991. It has been embraced and disowned with equal fervour by various metal communities, and its particular subgenre has provoked a great deal of discussion. The band's sound evolved from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal styles, while its lyrical themes and imagery are heavily influenced by gothic literature, poetry, mythology and horror films. Dani Filth's voice is often shredded by reviewers of the live performances. And to some extent they are correct though not on this performance. His vocals show a vast emprovement over the 'live bait for the dead' material - much more like the standard found on the albums - although some vocal parts are sung differently to those on the album - quite noticeably on 'Her Ghost In The Fog'. Yet despite the emprovements, Filths unique vocals remain raw and will renain the main subject of critisism, especially as the rest of the band have nailed the songs to perfection.
Overall then, this performance is a treat for fans of CoF, but is unlikely to change the opinions of hardened Cradle haters. 8/10
i would like to see the cradle haters that take shots at danni's vocals try sing like that they wouldn't last a minute
