Killswitch Engage, sometimes known simply as Killswitch (or KSE), is a metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, USA. The band's current lineup includes Howard Jones as vocalist, Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel on guitars, Mike D'Antonio on bass, and Justin Foley on drums.

The band's music has been heavily influenced by the melodic death metal scene. Their sound comes from its mix of powerful, crushing riffs, double bass drum patterns, and a combination of furious screaming along with clean vocals. Another notable feature of their music is the use of complex single-note and power chord riffs featuring dual-guitar harmonies, often punctuated with pinch harmonic squeals (aptly likened, by Underoath on the "World Ablaze" DVD, to "walking into a barn, and shooting a pig right in the side with a crossbow").
